baseball diamond

Last Sunday John, Adam, Rob, and I went to a local arena grabbed some snow and jibbed the baseball diamond fence. It was the first session of the year for the guys, everyone getting use to new equipment and the banshee bungee. Ended up getting more bails then lands but that's usually how it goes start of the season. John's very last run he stomped and I mean stomped a FS 50-50 FS 360 out. Here's a sneak peak picture, will have to wait for the video. Enjoy!

D7000

So, again I took a couple week off from photography or filming to save up some money for new equipment. I went down to the Toronto Ski and Snowboard show last weekend and picked up myself a Banshee Bungee for this upcoming winter. Then this weekend I picked up a Nikon D7000 for filming this winter. I've been playing with it a bit today and here is what I call a "test run". Enjoy!

wilcox

So I haven't updated my blog in awhile I've been working construction a lot at York University and will be working a lot more then doing my photography and videoography. There will be a slow down in updates as I don't have that much time to work on my first passion, but the benefits of working are I have money to infest in newer and better equipment. Hopefully will be purchasing a Nikon D7000 for the Winter snowboard season.

Here is a quick video of my friend John doing a parody of the Bum Hunter but for fishing out at Wilcox Lake, Ontario. Enjoy!

orangeville

I haven't been out too much shooting these last couple weeks, as I've been doing some construction work to pay off some bills. But, on Sunday I went to the Orangeville Skatepark with John and Shane. It was really hot in the dead of the sun, so not much went down. Shane got a big rock to fakie on the biggest quarter pipe in the park, here's a sneak peek picture. Enjoy!

fishing trip

So, I know I haven't updated my blog in awhile. I've been busy working down in the cities of London and Toronto, then last week I went on a fishing trip 3 hours north of Sudbury to McKee's Camp. Eight others and I made the journey up on Wednesday morning at 4 a.m. and returned back to Grey County Sunday afternoon around 3:30 p.m., many fish were caught and many beers were drank. Here are some photos and a little trailer video of the trip. Enjoy!

metal barn

From as long as I can remember this sheet metal barn has been down the road from me. A local car dealership use to own it but has now gone out of business and has become abandon. Here is a photo I took today of it. Enjoy!

night time

Last night was a fairly boring night here in Markdale. So, Shane and I went for a walk around town and I snapped off a couple pictures. Here is one of the baseball diamond and of the main street. Enjoy!

sunday skating

On Sunday night I went to Thornbury skate park for an evening skate session with John, Dave, Dylan, Matt, and Kyle. Didn't do too much filming or photos but here is a short time lapse of the mini ramp and a couple pictures. Enjoy!

barracks

Last Saturday John and I went down to London for a friends birthday. While we were in London we hit up a freshly new skatepark that was added onto last fall, The Barracks. With about 50 kids skating, bmx, and running around it was hard to get any photos without other people in it. So, here is panorama of the new park and a bail photo from the day that I quite like, looks like John's have way into the robot and his board is almost perfect standing on its tail. Enjoy!

sunset

Driving home last night the sun and clouds were looking very appealing. So, I shot of a couple photos. Enjoy!

driftin'

While Eugene and I were doing some fishing, we also did a little bit of drifting. Here is a short edit I made of some gravel road drifting in the Beaver Valley. Enjoy!

fishin'

Eugene and I went and did some fishing yesterday in the Grey County area. First stop was in Meaford were they have huge size rainbow trout and carp swimming back and forth but they barely like to take the bait, stubborn bastards. When we showed up there was an older man fishing with a compound bow and had a reel attached to pull the fish back in, the whole set-up looked pretty cool until he left and the cops showed up saying that what he was doing is highly illegal. We left Meaford and headed towards the top of Blue Mountain to an old abandon fishery, where we found there are still fish in the little lakes. After a half hour or so, Eugene caught a decent size speckled trout. Here is a picture of it and a photo I took just driving down the road, both taken with the GoPro. Enjoy!

more mini

On Monday night John and I went over to a local skatepark in Thornbury to try and get some cool lighting shots with my flash. On the way there it looked like it may rain but the weather held over with just overcast skies. Here are a couple shots from the night. Enjoy!

batman

While Adam and I where on our way to his girlfriends horse competition, posted below this post, we spotted the one and only Batmobile. I couldn't believe my eyes that this was right here in a local town of Shelburne. The detail and work that went into building this vehicle is magnificent. We had to pull over to check it out. Amongst all the other people snapping pictures and posing beside it I managed to get a couple photos myself and a short video of the incredible Batmobile. Enjoy!

layniee

This Sunday I went to Layniee Farms where a friend of mine, Jess, was competing in a schooling show for english riding. She rides out of Greys On Grass, located south of Markdale on highway 10. This was her first competition back from being injured two years ago. She rode strong and did very well, earning six first place and two champion ribbons. Here are some photos from the day. Enjoy!

Jess and her coach, Wendy Stewart, go over to course layout.

Jess and In The Making competing in the flat part of the competition.

Even with the grey skies most of the day I was able to bring out the vibrant colours of the horses coats.

With a fall two years that left her side lined and away from the jumping world, Jess is back at it and doing better then ever.

Receiving one of her many first place ribbons.

magazine ad

On Monday John and I went to the Orangeville Skatepark for a couple hours. John had seen this ad for a company where the skater is scoping the obstacle and then the skater hitting it. We thought it was a cool idea to try and copy, here is our take on a magazine ad for Get Some Clothing and Josh Macdonald Photography. Enjoy!

first lap

This past weekend was Round 2 of the CMRC Provincial series in Southwestern Ontario at Motopark. A good friend of mine and professional motocross rider, Zeb Dennis, let me strap my GoPro to his head for his MX1 Pro motos. Here is a little sneak peak of the action. Photo report coming soon... Enjoy!

storm

Last Saturday I woke up to a big storm coming through the Grey County region. With gale force winds and heavy rain it was able to bring down a 40 foot maple tree across the road from my house. Luckily there was no damaged done other then one downed hydro line. I actually heard the snap and witnessed the fall, here are a couple pictures of the carnage.

fireworks

I didn't end up getting up to too much this past weekend for May 2-4, being broke never helps. On Saturday night my friend, Joey, had about 10 of us over to his parents house for beers and fireworks. I brought my GoPro to film some roman candle wars but everyone just ended up shooting me cause I had the camera in my hand. Here is a little edit I put together quickly and a screen shot photo of Codey almost getting taken out. Enjoy!

bud light

Saturday afternoon John, Adam, Codey and I were driving back from Owen Sound, where John got a fresh new haircut, and we stopped in at 6 & 10 Mini Mart in Chatsworth. As John and Adam went into the store, two Bud Light girls came from around the back of the Exploder, as Codey yelled at them they came over. We all got free pair of Bud Light sunglasses which are pretty actually, decent sunglasses. Here are two "commercial photos" of the glasses. Enjoy and thanks again girls!

random

Yesterday we had on and off weather all day till about 4p.m. when it got really nice out. Been playing around with the pictures that the GoPro can take, using the time lapse setting. Here are two photos, one is a foundation that they just finished beside my house and are going put an equality home on top, and the other picture is just Adam and I cruising the streets of Markdale. Enjoy!
